  • A 160-bed addiction treatment center is scheduled to open in southeast Fort Collins.
  • Avenues Recovery Center will take over the former Center at Rockcreek skilled nursing facility.
  • The center will offer detoxification, residential treatment, and outpatient programs for drug and alcohol addiction.

A 160-bed addiction treatment center is set to open in southeast Fort Collins later this year.

Avenues Recovery Center is taking over the former Center at Rockcreek skilled nursing facility, 4880 Ziegler Road, with plans to start accepting clients there Dec. 1, according to a news release from the company.

The recovery center will provide medical detoxification, residential treatment, partial hospitalization and outpatient programs for individuals experiencing addiction to drugs or alcohol.

Its Fort Collins center marks a Colorado expansion for Avenues’ nationwide network of recovery centers, which already includes a location in Aurora, Colo.

The facility’s southeast Fort Collins building was formerly home to The Center at Rockcreek, a skilled nursing facility that closed earlier this year in the face of financial woes and foreclosure, according to reporting from BizWest. The Ziegler Road property was purchased for $13.5 million by a New Jersey-based LLC linked to Avenues Recovery Center this past September, according to Larimer County property records.
